Republika is a movement founded in 2021 by Milan Uhrík and other MPs who had left Marian Kotleba’s ĽSNS; Uhrík has led it ever since. It describes itself as a national conservative party. In the 2023 election it narrowly missed the threshold with 4.75%, but in the 2024 European elections it came third with 12.5% and two MEPs, Uhrík and Milan Mazurek, who sit in the Europe of Sovereign Nations group.
It has no seats in the National Council and has never been in government. Polls in September and October 2026 put it third, at 9.7–14.2%. It wants the EU to become an economic association again, with a referendum on leaving if that fails. It supports military neutrality and a referendum on leaving NATO, an end to sanctions on Russia and to arms deliveries to Ukraine, and rejects immigration. It also proposes returning energy companies to state ownership and building a new nuclear power plant. It opposes same-sex marriage and registered partnerships.
