What does Hnutie SLOVENSKO propose?
Hnutie Slovensko (Slovakia Movement) is the movement Igor Matovič founded in 2011 and still leads; until 2023 it was known as OĽaNO (Ordinary People and Independent Personalities). It won the 2020 election on an anti-corruption platform and led the government until 2023. In 2023 it won 8.9% and 16 seats on a list that included candidates from Kresťanská únia and Za ľudí. Four MPs elected on that list have since left; its group, shared with Za ľudí, has 12 members.
It is in opposition, and polls in September and October 2026 put it at 8.1–10.7%. Fighting corruption is at its core: it makes restoring the Special Prosecutor's Office and the NAKA police agency, and abolishing lifetime annuities for politicians, conditions for joining a government. It proposes keeping the €200 monthly child benefit for good, electronic voting, including from abroad, a "useful EU and functional NATO" and help for Ukraine; it opposes same-sex marriage and adoption. It has ruled out governing with Smer, Hlas, the SNS or Republika.
